About Restorative Practice

Restorative Practice (RP) is a relational approach to building, maintaining, and repairing relationships within school communities.   It focuses on fostering accountability, empathy, and problem-solving, rather than relying solely on punitive measures to address behavioural issues. By encouraging open dialogue and mutual understanding, RP helps students, staff, and families navigate conflicts and develop lifelong skills for resolving them constructively.

Rooted in restorative justice principles and informed by neuroscience, RP is both proactive and responsive. It creates a culture where relationships are valued and repaired when necessary, fostering a sense of belonging, safety, and shared responsibility across the school community.
